How wonderful that you live in Kritsa, it’s a beautiful village, so alive and rich in history and tradition! I had the opportunity to spend my vacations in Lasithi and was amazed by it’s rough beauty. So many places to explore, fantastic villages and wonderful people, like this old couple… Seeing them holding hands, deeply moved me, I wish I’ll be like that, that’s true happiness…

There is a similar couple featured on a postcard sold in Kritsa with the caption, Together Forever. I love it and have used it in lieu of a wedding or anniversary card for friends. X

I was amazed by the way Cretans “see” women,they honor and respect them deeply. Not only in the “mantinades” but in real life!
