  1. that is a very cool looking building

    • It was built during the turkish occupation of the island of Crete (1646 – 1898 AD). It was a characteristic of The Turks’ building style. Turks added wooden “sachnisia” to Venetian buildings, as Venicians occupied the island from 1204 AD. It is a good example of how a dominant group alters its surroundings to fit its own cultural and religious customs…
