The house of old

…the rocks, the trees, the walls narrate…

Tableau found in the Venetian Museum, Domus Della Rocca Barozzi of Naxos

The museum is a well kept tower house belonging to the Karavias family, straight descendants of noble families of Della Rocca – Barozzi, who have maintained it unaltered through the ages in its old glamour and shine. The tower was erected in 1207, during the same period when Marco Sanoudo constructed the Castle.
It  contains furniture, table cloths, utilitarian objects, jewels, books, clothing, arms, and a variety of objects of past years that constituted the household
