Plaster cast. Spooky…

In Tinos island the history of marble carving began in antiquity. Local marble was used in Tinos and Delos islands to create altars, temples and statues of gods. Nowadays Pyrgos village is the center of marble carving. One can find at least 3 interesting museums  plus a dozen of galleries and workshops. Photo taken in the Tinian artists museum.
